Thanksgiving!
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had a nice weekend. I can't believe Thanksgiving is just a few days away. I hope you all have a restful break and spend some time with the people you love. Here are your updates and announcements for the week.
**Wednesday, 11/25 is a half day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:05.

The Renaissance
Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. We are getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving break. I have some general announcements and then your class updates for the week.
**Report cards went home on Friday, 11/13. If you have not received yours please contact the Main Office.
**Wednesday is a half day. All students will be dismissed at 11:05.
A2- We finished up the Italian Renaissance today. Please be prepared to discuss Machiavelli's The Prince on Wednesday, 11/18. We will then start discussing the Northern Renaissance.
A3- Today we took notes on the Italian Renaissance. We will continue you this for the remainder of the week. Please make sure you complete the terms and checkpoint questions in Ch. 13 Sec. 1 for homework. This is due on Wed. 11/18.

Ends and Beginnings

**Term 1 report cards will go home on Friday, 11/13.
A2-Today we finished up the Middle Ages by discussing the Black Death and then we moved onto the Renaissance. Be prepared for a reading check on Ch. 13 Sec. 1 on Thursday, 11/12.
A3- Today you worked more on your Crusades Ads. These will be due at the beginning of class on Thursday, 11/12. You will be working on the letter portion of this assignment in class on Thursday.

EOT Updates and Reminders
Hi Everyone- As the end of the term is upon us I just wanted to send out a few reminders and helpful hints as we move forward throughout the rest of the year.
-First, you are reading this so you are familiar with my blog. Please make sure you check it at least once a week for updates in our class.
-It is very important that you check your grades on Aspen regularly. The website for it is
ma-plymouth.myfollett.com. If you are having trouble logging on please see Mrs. Butters during Com Block or before and after school.
-Use your agenda! I can not stress this enough. Find a place where you write down all of your assignments for each day (or if you don't have any). This will help you to stay on track and stay organized. Knowing what your homework is and when assignments are due is your responsibility.
-If you are absent, make sure that you check in with your teachers for any work you missed. The 10 minutes during Com Block is a great time to do this.
- Get enough sleep. It is really important that you are getting enough sleep at night. This will allow you to be your best during the school day.
-Eat breakfast! It is really important that you have something for breakfast each day. This will help you to remain focused throughout the day.
-Communicate and advocate! Your teachers can do a lot of tricks but we can not read minds. Please make sure you are asking questions and communicating problems you are having. We are here to help so speak up!

The Crusades
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had a nice week and have fun on Halloween. I have a couple of announcements and then your updates for the week.
**1st Term ends this Friday, 11/6. Make sure you are checking Aspen, checking in with your teachers, and working hard until the end. Report cards will go home on Friday, 11/13.
**I will be after school today, Thursday, and Friday this week. If you need extra help please seem me on one of these days.
A2- Tomorrow you will start the Crusades. You will be working on an activity were you create an advertisement. This will be due on Thursday, 11/5 and will count as a term 2 grade.
A3- We will be finishing up the activity on the medieval church tomorrow and then moving on to how power began to shift during the Middle Ages. You should have the 5 checkpoint questions from Ch. 7 Sec. 3 completed for homework. This is due tomorrow, 11/3.
B1- Today we finished up the growth of royal powers and started on the Crusades. On Wednesday you will be working on an activity were you create an advertisement. This will be due on Friday, 11/6 and will count as a term 2 grade.
