EOT Updates and Reminders
Hi Everyone- As the end of the term is upon us I just wanted to send out a few reminders and helpful hints as we move forward throughout the rest of the year.
-First, you are reading this so you are familiar with my blog. Please make sure you check it at least once a week for updates in our class.
-It is very important that you check your grades on Aspen regularly. The website for it is
ma-plymouth.myfollett.com. If you are having trouble logging on please see Mrs. Butters during Com Block or before and after school.
-Use your agenda! I can not stress this enough. Find a place where you write down all of your assignments for each day (or if you don't have any). This will help you to stay on track and stay organized. Knowing what your homework is and when assignments are due is your responsibility.
-If you are absent, make sure that you check in with your teachers for any work you missed. The 10 minutes during Com Block is a great time to do this.
- Get enough sleep. It is really important that you are getting enough sleep at night. This will allow you to be your best during the school day.
-Eat breakfast! It is really important that you have something for breakfast each day. This will help you to remain focused throughout the day.
-Communicate and advocate! Your teachers can do a lot of tricks but we can not read minds. Please make sure you are asking questions and communicating problems you are having. We are here to help so speak up!

The Crusades
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had a nice week and have fun on Halloween. I have a couple of announcements and then your updates for the week.

World Religion's Test
Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great long weekend! I think it came at the perfect time. This is a wacky week so I have some announcements and updates.
**Our field trip to the Museum of Science is tomorrow, 10/14. Please arrive to school on time and meet your chaperone in the cafeteria. You do not need to go to your first block class. Please remember to bring a bagged lunch tomorrow. We will be back at school by 1:30.**
**Tomorrow and Thursday, 10/15 will be A4 days. Friday, 10/16 will be a B4 day.**

Finishing Up World Religions
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had a nice weekend. Here are some announcements and your updates for the week.
**Permission slips and $20 are due to me by Friday, 10/9 for the Museum of Science field trip. The trip will be on Wednesday, 10/14.**
A2- We wrapped up World Religions today. You need to compare and contrast the three monotheistic religions for homework. This is due Wednesday, 10/7. We will be in the IMC on Wednesday for you to work on your T-shirt projects. Please be prepared for a World Religions Test on Thursday, 10/15.
A3- We will wrap up Christianity on Wednesday. We will be in the IMC on Friday for you to work on your T-shirt projects. Please be prepared for a World Religions Test on Monday, 10/19.

Islam
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend. Here are some announcements and your updates for the week.

Continuing with World Religions

The Industrial Revolution Leads to New Ways of Thinking
Hi Everyone! What a couple of weeks we have had! You all did great with PARCC and we are finally getting back to some normalcy. Here are some updates for the beginning of next week.
C- We've spent some time going over the social impacts of the Industrial Revolution. Today we are going to discuss the new ways of thinking that came about because of the Industrial Revolution. These can be difficult to understand so we are going to do a lot of work with them. Be prepared for a quiz at the beginning of next week.

Finishing Up the French Revolution

French Revolution

Finishing the Enlightenment
Hi everyone! I hope that you had a great vacation and are easing back into a full week well. Here are your updates for the rest of the week and into the next.
C- Today, Ms. Saba is coming in to discuss course selection for next year. Tomorrow we will have the laptops for you to work on your DBQ that is due on Friday, 2/27. You should be working on this at home as well. Next week we are going to start the French Revolution.
E- Today, Ms. Saba is coming in to discuss course selection for next year. Tomorrow we will continue with the Enlightenment. We have one group left to present and then I will spend time clarifying information. Please remember you have a reading check on Ch. 17 Sec. 1.
F- Today, we will be in the computer lab so that you can continue finding primary sources for your Enlightenment thinker. Tomorrow, Ms. Saba is coming in to discuss course selection for next year. Friday we will continue working on the Enlightenment again.

Snow, Snow, and More Snow!
Hi Everyone- What a crazy few weeks it has been! I hope you are all doing ok with the snow. Here are your updates for the rest of the week.

Hi Everyone- Hope you had a nice long weekend. We are in the midst of mid-term exams. Please remember that term 2 and semester 1 end on Friday, 1/23. Make sure you are checking Aspen and speaking with your teachers if you have questions.

Happy New Year!
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had an enjoyable and restful break. Here are a couple of announcements and your updates for this week.
1. We have three weeks until the end of term 2.
2. Mid-terms will start on Friday, January 16th with G period. This is for the entire school and all mid-terms will count as 10% of your final grade for the year.
C- Today we will review the explorers from the Age of Exploration. Tomorrow we will discuss the Columbian Exchange and the Spanish Colonies. Be prepared for homework this week and look for more updates.
