Starting World Religions

Hi Everyone- I hope that you are having a great week so far!  Here are some updates for each class on what to expect for the rest of the week.

C Period-  You have been working on an inclass activity about Buddhism.  We are going to continue this tomorrow and hopefully wrap up by the end of the week.  After we discuss Buddhism we will be spending some time on Hinduism.  Please know that we had to go out of order from the original syllabus that I gave you.  A homework assignment has NOT been given yet this week.  However, please make sure you are paying attention to when things are assigned.  I will make this very clear in class.

E Period- We finished our discussion on Confucianism and Daoism.  You have spent the last two days working on an inclass activity about Buddhism.  Once we finish that we will start learning about Hinduism.  You had a homework assignment due in class today, Wednesday.  If you have not gotten that in please do so ASAP.

F Period-  We finished discussing Confucianism and Daoism today.  For homework you need to write three paragraphs comparing and contrasting Confucianism and Daoism.  This will be due on Friday, 9/20.

G Period-  You spent the last couple of days working on your World Religion Map.  Please make sure this is complete for your notebook checks.  Today we started Confucianism.  Tomorrow we will spend some time discussing Daoism.  You will need to write three paragraphs comparing and contrasting the Confucianism and Daoism.  This will be due next Tuesday, 10/1.  I will explain this more in class tomorrow.

Other:
- You were all given a permission slip for our field trip to the Aquarium on 10/16.  The cost of the trip is $17.  Cash or check is accepted and checks should be made out to PSHS.  Permission slips and money are due to me no later that 10/11.  See me or Mr. Loranger with questions.

- Homecoming is Saturday, 9/21.  Tickets are $10 and can be bought at lunch.

Make this week the best week possible!
Rock on!
Ms. O.
