Hi Everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!  Here are some updates for the week.  Please keep in mind that Term 1 ends this Friday, 10/31. 

C- We are continuing our work on the Middle Ages.  Please remember that your Kingdoms are due on Tuesday, 10/28.  Topics we will be covering this week include how the economy changed during the Middle Ages, the influence the church had, power shifts, and the Black Death.  Please know that you will have a reading check on Ch. 8 Sec. 1 on Friday, 10/31.

E, F, and G- We are continuing our work on the Middle Ages.  Please remember that your Kingdoms are due on Tuesday, 10/28.  There will be a reading check on Ch. 7 Sec. 4 on Wednesday, 10/29.  Topics we will be covering this week include how the economy changed during the Middle Ages, the influence the church had, power shifts, and the Black Death.

Start of Middle Ages Unit

Hi Everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Here are some updates for the week.

Tuesday, 10/21 you will all be taking the ReadiStep test in your C period class.

C-  Your current events journals are due today.  You should have 10-15 reflections.  Tomorrow, your Middle Ages (MA) graphic tours are due.  Today we will be starting the Middle Ages (MA).  We will spend some time discussing feudalism.  You will have a reading check on 7.1 on Thursday, 10/23.  On Friday, 10/24 your Create-Your-Own-Kingdom will be due. 

E, F, and G-  Your current event journals are due today.  You should have 5 reflections.  Tomorrow your Middle Ages map is due.  Today we will be starting the Middle Ages (MA).  We will spend some time this week discussing feudalism.  Your Create-Your-Own-Kingdom will be due on Friday, 10/24.

World Religion Unit Assessments

Hi All!  Hope you had a fantastic long weekend!  Here are your updates for the week.

C-  Your t-shirt projects are due today.  We will spend class time presenting them.  Thursday we will review for your WR test which will be on Friday, 10/17.

Last Week of World Religions

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend.  Here are a few announcements and your class updates for the week.

1. Your permission slips are due today for the field trip to the Aquarium.
2. The Freshman BBQ is this Thursday, 10/9 at 4pm.

Here are you class updates:

C-  Today we will be discussing Judaism and tomorrow we will role right into Christianity.  Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we will be in the Computer Lab so that you can work on your T-shirt Project. You will have a reading check on Wednesday, 10/8 on Ch. 2 Sec. 5.  You will also have one on Friday, 10/10 on Ch. 5 Sec. 4.

E, F, and G- Today we will be discussing Judaism and tomorrow we will role right into Christianity.  Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we will be in the Computer Lab so that you can work on your T-shirt Project. For homework you will need to answer questions #2-5 on pg. 60 (Ch. 2 Sec.5).  This will be due Wednesday, 10/8.  Then due Friday, 10/10 you will need to answer questions #2-5 on pg. 171 (Ch. 5 Sec. 4).

Monotheistic Religions

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are having a great week so far!  Here are some announcements and updates for the next few days.

1. Please remember that Open House is tomorrow, Thursday, 10/2 at 7pm. 
2. Progress reports go home on Friday, 10/3.
3. The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, 10/4 from 7:30 to 10:30.
4. The Freshman BBQ will be on Thursday, 10/9 at 4pm on the upper fields.  All Freshmen are welcome and food is FREE!

Here are some class updates:

C-  Today you have a reading check on Ch. 10 Sec.1.  We will finish up the 5 Pillars of Islam and then we will start watching Inside Mecca.  This should take us through Thursday.  Friday we will start discussing Judaism.  We are a little behind so make sure you are aware of updates I give you in class.  Also, you should be up to 6 to 9 current events in your current event journals.  As always, see me with questions.
