World War 1

Hi Everyone-  I hope you all had a nice weekend and got to spend some time with your families for Mother's Day.  Please remember that Progress Reports go home on Friday, 5/16.  Here are your updates for the week.

C-  We are in the midst of research papers.  You have a lot due this week please pay attention to due dates. 
Tuesday, 5/13-  Thesis Statement Due
Wednesday, 5/14- Notecard Check
Thursday, 5/15- Ch. 26.1 Reading Quiz
Friday, 5/16-  Outline Due
We will be moving on to the causes of WWI on Wednesday and continuing with that for the remainder of the week. 

E-  Friday we discussed the MAINS causes of WWI.  We will continue working with those today.  Tomorrow we will move onto Trench Warfare.  You need to be prepared for a reading quiz on 26.1 Today and then 26.2 on Wednesday. 

F-  Today we will discuss the causes of WWI.  We will continue with this on Tuesday as well.  Please be prepared for a reading quiz on 26.1 on Tuesday, 5/13.  You will also have one on Thursday on 26.2. 

G-  Today we will finish up imperialism in China.  Tomorrow we will review for a quiz on Imperialism.  Wednesday you will be quizzed.  Thursday we will move onto World War 1.

Remember to stay focused and continue to work hard.  We are not finished yet!

Start of WWI Unit

Hi Everyone-  Hope your weekend was good and you were able to relax a little.  Mid-term is coming up quickly.  For some of you this is a "make or break" term.  As the weather gets nicer it is most important that you remain focused until the end.  Here are your updates for the week.

C-  Today we will finish imperialism in China.  Tomorrow you should be prepared for a "quest" on Imperialism (Quiz/Test).  Afterwards you will be moving onto WWI.  You have also be assigned your research paper.  It is important that you stay on track with this.  Please remember that your topics are due on Thursday.  Friday we will have the laptops so that you can start researching.

E-  Today you will have a "quest" on Imperialism.  Afterwards you will be moving onto WWI.  We will start WWI with a map activity and discussing the causes.  You should be prepared for a reading quiz on 26.1 on Friday.

F-  Today we will finish imperialism in China.  Tomorrow you should be prepared for a "quest" on Imperialism.  Afterwards you will be moving onto WWI.  We will start WWI with a map activity and discussing the causes.  You should be prepared for a reading quiz on 26.1 on Friday.

G-  We will continue watching the film on Gandhi.  Your Gandhi Writing Assignment is still due on Friday.  We will spend a little time in class going over this assignment.  Afterwards, we will be moving onto imperialism in China.

End of Imperialism Unit

Hi Everyone-  I hope you had a great vacation and your first week back has been ok.  Remember that this is the fasted time of year.  There is a lot going on in the final weeks of school.  It is very important you are staying focused and working hard.  Please remember to be checking Aspen frequently so that there are not an surprises at the end of the year. 

C-  We finished the film on Gandhi today.  Please remember your Gandhi Writing Assignment is due tomorrow.  We will start discussing imperialism in China tomorrow and then we will be moving onto World War I.  Right now I am planning a quiz on imperialism on Tuesday, 5/8.

E and F- We have finished the Gandhi film and will be moving onto imperialism in China tomorrow.  Please remember that your Gandhi Writing Assignment is due tomorrow.  Once we are done with imperialism in China you will be quizzed and we will be moving onto World War I.  Right now your quiz is planned for Tuesday, 5/8.

G-  We have spent a large part of this week discussing imperialism in Africa.  Today you were introduced to imperialism in India.  This will take us into next week.
