Hi Everyone- Hope you are all having a good week. Here are some updates and announcements for the week.
C- Ms. Derby is still working with all of you. Please see her with questions. Her last day will be Thursday, 12/18.
E, F, and G- We spent a lot of time yesterday discussing the Northern Renaissance. Today we will finish that and you will have a reading check on 13.2. We will start discussing the Scientific Revolution and continue with this tomorrow. Thursday and Friday we will discuss the Protestant Reformation. Please plan for a test on all this material on Tuesday, 12/16.
Finally, term 2 Progress Reports will go home on Friday, 12/12.

Start of Renaissance
Hi Everyone- Hope you had a great weekend! We certainly are gearing up for Thanksgiving.
Here are some updates for the week.
1. Tomorrow is Tropical Tuesday.
2. Wednesday is a half day.
3. Please be mindful that the Friday we get back from Thanksgiving is mid-term for Term 2.
E, F, and G- Your DBQs are due tomorrow, Tuesday, 11/25. We are starting the Renaissance this week. You will get a new binder and new seats.

The DBQ
Hi Everyone- I hope you had a great weekend. Thanksgiving is coming up so quickly! Enjoy all the fun stuff that is going on around the school, but, remember to stay focused and continue to work hard every day. Here are your updates for the week.
C- Ms. Derby (student teacher) took over the class today and will continue to work with you until the Holiday break. Please make sure you are focused and working hard. If you have questions please see her or me.
E, F, and G- Friday we started our work with the DBQ. You were expected to analyze documents 1-3 this weekend. We will be going over this in class today and you will continue analyzing the rest of the documents with a partner. They should all be analyzed by tomorrow so that you can focus on your thesis statement and outline tomorrow and then start typing on Wednesday. Remember, this is important, you can do it, and I am not giving up on you. See me with questions. The final draft of the essay will be due on Tuesday, 11/25.

You will have a reading check on Wednesday, 10/8 on Ch. 2 Sec. 5. You will also have one on Friday, 10/10 on Ch. 5 Sec. 4.

Hi Everyone- Hope your weekend was good and you were able to relax a little. Mid-term is coming up quickly. For some of you this is a "make or break" term. As the weather gets nicer it is most important that you remain focused until the end. Here are your updates for the week.

Hi Everyone- I hope you had a great vacation and your first week back has been ok. Remember that this is the fasted time of year. There is a lot going on in the final weeks of school. Exploration and the Atlantic World
Hi Everyone- I hope you all had a great break! Here are your updates for our first week back.
Mid-Term Annoucement
Mid-Terms start on 1/17 with G period being the first exam. Monday, 1/20 is MLK Day and Tuesday, 1/21 through Thursday, 1/23 will be exam days. Wednesday, 1/22 and Thursday, 1/23 will be half days. Term 2 ends on Friday, 1/24.
C- Today we will review the explorers and their routes. You will also be working on Ch. 14 Sec. 1. This will be due on Wednesday. The remainder of the week we will be discussing the Columbian Exchange and the Middle Passage.
E and F- Today we will reveiw the explorers and their routes. We will also be discussing the Columbian Exchange and the Middle Passage which should bring us through to the end of the week.
G- Today we will be starting the Exploration and Atlantic World unit. You will be working on a map activity which will take us through to Wednesday. Then we will be discussing the Columbian Exchange.
Make this week the best week yet! Make sure you are staying on top of your school work and your grades. The term will end VERY quickly, especially with Mid-Terms.
