Moving Forward with the Middle Ages

Hi Everyone-  I hope you had a nice weekend.  Here are your updates for the week.

Announcements:
1. On Wednesday, 10/30, you will all be participating in a college readiness test called, ReadiStep.  This test will be administered during C and D periods, which will be extended.  You will be taking your test with your C period class.  See your teachers with questions.

2.  Grades close Friday.  Please be sure to check Aspen and check in with your teacher if you have any questions.

C period-  We are moving forward with the Middle Ages.  Today, we will go over the documents you were to analyze over the weekend and we will be discussing economic changes that occured during the Middle Ages.  Later this week we will be discussing the growth of royal powers. You will have a reading quiz this week. Stay tuned for updates on that. 

E and F Period-  We are also moving forward with the Middle Ages.  Today, we will go over the documents you were to analyze over the weekend and we will be dicussing economic changes that occured during the Middle Ages.  Later this week we will be looking at how royal powers began to grow throughout Europe.  You will have homework this week.  Stay tuned for updates on that. 

G Period-  We finished up Feudalism on Friday.  Please remember that your kingdoms are due on Tuesday, 10/29.  Today we will be analyzing primary sources.  Later this week we will be moving onto the economic changes that occured during the Middle Ages.

Middle Ages Madness

Hi Everyone-  I hope you are having a good week so far.  Here are your updates:

C Period-  Today your kingdoms are due.  We will also spend some time analyzing primary sources from the Middle Ages.  Tonight for homework, you will need to read over the 10 Commandments of Good Historical Writing and put each one into your own words.  Tomorrow we will be discussing Document Based Questions (DBQs).  Thursday and Friday we will spend some time discussing the economic changes of the Middle Ages.

E and F Period-  We ended Feudalism yesterday.  Today you will be spending some time analyzing primary sources from the Middle Ages.  Tomorrow we will discuss Document Based Questions (DBQs).  Thursday and Friday we will spend some time discussing the economic changes of the Middle Ages.  Don't forget your kingdoms are due on Wednesday.

G Period-  You will spend some time in class today finishing your Middle Ages maps.  We will be discussing feudalism the rest of the week.  By Friday we will be analyzing primary sources. 

Don't forget the Freshman Cookout is this Thursday, 10/24.  Grilling will start on the upper fields at 3:30.

Early Middle Ages

Hi Everyone-  I hope that you all found some time to enjoy the long weekend!  I can't believe we are already a halfway done with October.  We have a lot of fun stuff going on tomorrow so here are your updates for the week.

C Period-
Your WR tests are graded and in Aspen.  Check them out.  I'm pretty impressed!  We will be starting the Middle Ages tomorrow with some map work.  Thursday and Friday we will be discussing Feudalism.  Remember your T-shirt Projects are due  tomorrow, 10/15 and your MA Graphic Tour is due on Thursday, 10/17.

E and F Period-

World Religion Flashcards

We'll be using these to review on Thursday for your test on Friday. I thought I would give you a head start!

World Religions (Still!)

Hi Everyone-  I hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend.  This week we are wrapping up our unit on World Religions.  Here are the updates for each class.

C Period-
Your reactions on Inside Mecca are due today, Monday, 10/7.  We will finish Christianity and Judaism today in class.  Tuesday and Wednesday we will be in the Library and you will be working on your T-Shirt Projects.  Thursday we will review for your World Religion test and Friday you will be tested on World Religions.  You all received a study guide today.  You should be using that to help you review and prepare for your test. 

E and F Period- 
We will finish Christianity and Judaism today in class.  Tuesday and Wednesday we will be in the Library and you will be working on your T-Shirt Projects.  Thursday we will review for your World Religion Test and Friday you will be tested on World Relgions.  You all received a study guide on Friday.  You should be using that to help you review and prepare for your test.

G Period-
We will finish Inside Mecca today.  Tuesday and Wednesday we will spend time discussing Christianity and Judaism.  Thursday and Friday you will be in the Library working on your T-Shirt Projects.  Next week you will be tested on World Religions.

I am after school Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week.  If you need help studying for your World Religion test I strongly suggest you stay on one of these days.

Finally, your permission slips for the Aquarium are due on Friday, 10/11.
